Aiping Tai Chi Aiping Tai Chi

My Taiwan Trip

I have to extend a big shout out to my assistant instructor Mark and my senior students for keeping my classes going while I was on an extended trip to Taiwan end of June / beginning of July. The trip was primarily personal to spend time with my 94 year old grandmother, my parents and my sister who flew in from Denmark. But I was also able to check out the local Taipei Tai Chi and Qigong scene. My dad was able to arrange for me to meet with the wonderful people from the Taiwan Tai Chi Chuan Association and join in one of Master Wu’s push hands classes. My dad was Taiwan’s Olympic ski coach and former president of the Taiwan Ski Association and the Tai Chi Chuan Association offices are right next door to the Ski Association offices. I’ll save that story for another day 🙂

I will share a more detailed account of my trip with plenty of photos and videos at a later date. Here’s a photo with my kids, sister and mom at the National Palace Museum and a photo with Master Li and Peter Tsai, Secretary General, of the Taiwan Tai Chi Chuan Association.
